Just passing on the latest on the Cee Bailey screen for the 700. It fits the bike and is very easy to install BUT it fouls the bars if there are any hand guards; this means a dangerously limited turning capacity as well as the impossibility of engaging the steering lock - not very much use then. Cee Baileys have been made aware of this but maintain the screen fits the bike in its original state and that is the only way i which it is shown in their advertising - true but rather lacking in the right spirit I think . They have basically said that people should choose between having a screen or having brush guards. So back to the drawing board on this one:tears. Woody's Importarium (suppliers) have been great throughout :thumby: and are doing a full refund. So we'll be putting back that horrible excuse for a screen which I thought I'd seen the back of:( and the only current option will be to try my husband's Touratech screen extender - there may be just enough space to clip it on.

What puzzles me about the Cee Baileys screens for the 2013, 700GS and 800GS models is that the two are completely different and that doesn't make sense to me. They are almost the same bike but the two screens are different shapes and the 800 screen is shown on a bike with BMW hand guards fitted to it so it's obvious that it can be used with hand guards but the same hand guards on the 700 foul the screen and you can't get full lock or even engage the steering lock.
Surely the two screens should be the same basic shape.

I can't comment on the efficiency of the Cee Baileys 800GS screen but I've tried the 700 screen and at the recommended size for my height it's worse than useless. The wind noise is beyond belief and it causes a vacuum in front of the rider that draws the wind in from the sides and from behind the rider adding to the buffeting. I'm beginning to wonder is the 700 screen was ever tested in a wind tunnel because if it had I'm sure it would have ended up in the bin and they would have gone back to the drawing board.

Now my comments are only my own personal opinion and some riders may find that the screen works for them but for me it was totally useless.
