hi Markymcd or should I say Hey.

I like you ride a F650 (twin)

hello and welcome as a subscribed tosser and a vendor to boot :thumb2

Great looking stickers but hell there confusing the issue more your neighbours (America) are calling it the F658 in forums. Which I get as its a 650 model number but still a 800 hence the 658 as there is of course a long standing F650 (single) (another fantastic bike) which is more confusion.

so what is the meaning behind 798 (I have not heard it before) :nenau does it mean thet the 798 is 2 short of a 800, surely thats a bit like saying "your not all there mate" or is it saying "bent as a nine bob note" :nenau

its all 6's and 8's to me very confusing which is fifferent to getting your self into a 2 and 8 :blast DOH

great bumper sticker mind:rob

I like to explain it as the new BMW you know "the 800 little one"

I note you put on your profile like most F650 (twin)

Do you have any (twin) or (the little one) Decals ?

I think Bmw should have called our bikes the F800GS and put a say 19 litre tank on the other with spots and pannier standard and called it the F800GSA.

My bike has changed dramaticly its so rugged roads, no literraly but i would not call it an A

But getting back to your product I think you have presented them very well 10/10 for presentation I like the GS sticker theres already a home grown Decal vendor here I have Purchased from him (very good product and service thank you humvee :thumb:thumb2)

But whats your postage like and the exchange rate, surely there is less bang for the buck :nenau

Good luck with your products I look forward to seeing more of your designs up here. maybe (twin) or The 800 little one.

Its not the size of the dam think its what you do with it, a bit like a wand its not the size its the magic within:blast

I'm a rider sitting at a desk at home making stuff for other riders. Sorry that's upsetting you so much.

A rider sitting at a desk ..... now that does'nt work for me.

@ markymcd - perhaps you ought to have gone about your 'idea' in a different way!!
Introduce yourself
suggest that you have a product available
show some of the products without the Paypal cart

...basically break us in gently -- instead of marching in all guns blazing and expect us to welcome with open arms.

There's loads of guys doing decals on here.. you ain't the first mate, and as a graphic designer can't you come up with something 'different'? - all you have done is use the same font style and layout as it came from BM - all you have done is change a few digits.

Cut vinyl is so 'yesterday'. Ok its cheap, and doesn't suffer the vagaries of UV as a digital print does.... but for something that can be changed as and when it fades ...the digital way would be something that you have 'developed and designed' and would be unique to you.

Surely as a graphic designer you can appreciate that. :nenau:nenau
or is it the fact that you have a chinese cutter coupled to copied software sat next to your desk. you do a bit of 'jiggery pokery' and think that you can make millions?

how you doin mate :thumb2 welcome to the site ,,as you have probably guessed there is a fair few fannies on here but don't worry you get that everywhere ,,personally im not great sticker buyer but im sure there are a lot on here who are and i hope you do well with them my friend

Hi everyone.

Thank you so much for everyone with nice comments. And yes, there are always haters out there. Was a shame that my first experience was a negative one and my responses were harsh. :( backed into a corner i guess.

About the 798.... That's the actual CCs of the bike (both the 650 and 800). The 658 was just as wrong and confusing so I figured why not call it a 798 cuz that's what it is.

I went with the same font because I don't want it to be out of place. Trust me, I've been a designer for 15 years and I know quite a bit about branding.

I'm also originally from jolly olde. I was born in Radcliffe and spent the first 6 years of my life in Bury before our family moved to Canada. I still very much love and feel connected to my British roots.

Thanks again everyone.... And up yours to the tossers :)
cheers,
Mark

PS... and I have purchased from Humvee in the past too. great stuff and I'll try not to step on his toes.

Welcome to the site Mark :thumb

I'd say the vendors section is the right one for your stuff... and as you've subscribed I wouldn't call it spam ;)

You'd have been the first spammer on here to pay for the privilege :D

+1

Mark - Don't worry about the odd dickhead on here, most people are ok :D

Thanks Bryn.

I hope the 'look' isn't too polished. It's just that I've been spending a little while getting set up on ADVrider and finally got it to where I figured out how to have people buy straight from my post. I think it makes it easier for me and for people who might want the stickers.

If anyone else wants to know how i got the buttons on there let me know... basically PayPal has it on their site. Just takes a while to figure out.

Hi Again Mark, well your spot on about the 798cc's well I never I had to get my manual out to check it I just thought it was was an actual 800cc, but I supose they round up most CC's of all Engines to make it that round number.

I was interested to see if it was a personal calling or a Canadian thing ive heard as mentioned a few Americans coining the phrase 658

But before the F800GS girls get to excited, yep you guessed it your also riding a 798 :nenau :augie

by the by Just saw the picture of your bike posted very nice :thumb2

dont see over posts here as a negative but just another opinion (wether you agree or not :nenau), dont let it put you off, as menioned I think they look good and presented well, keep them coming, its nice to see something different, just like the bikes :thumb2

Hi everyone.

I went with the same font because I don't want it to be out of place. ( but people who want to change the original decal scheme do want something different!)Trust me, I've been a designer for 15 years and I know quite a bit about branding.

Don't worry too much about treading on his toes :augie

he just sell's stuff ... he gets someone else to make it :rob like you he spotted a niche and exploited it ... but hey! that's business :D

I've deleted some posts in this thread as they took away from the thread by suggestion this was spam
the guy has the right to post in the vendors section he even sponsored as well:)

Cheers!

Well, everyone since that first guy has made me feel more than welcome.

And I love opinions and critiques. Anything constructive is great. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Hi, like to look of your F798 stickers, can you do them in any other colour combination?

Sorry if I haven't been on the site for a bit...

I can do any colour but for now I can only do 5 sets at a time. There would either have to be enough interest in another colour or I'd have to charge a premium.

Either way I'm up for discussion. :)
