F800 GS 08 to '11 Grab Rail Question

I'm fitting some Hepco and Becker pannier frames to a 2012 F800GS and struggling.
On the 08 to 11 model is the pillion grab rail in one U shaped piece, the bottom of the U being under the seat, the open end facing backwards behind the seat.

Or two separate pieces one for each side ?

The 2012 has it in one piece with four fixing bolts but the H&B fixing instructions show it in two pieces.

I hope this makes sense.

Fitting as per the instructions the seat will not go back on.

I like it when things don't work in makes me feel really good.

Nothings changed on 800gs from 08 -12. All of them have one piece grabrail.

Thanks for that, it looks like the Hepco and Becker pictures are wrong and the spacer provided is too big. What fun.
