Hi

Has anyone fitted spot/foglights to their F800 GS and if so what lights and brackets have you used.

thanks

Leggy

I'm opting for a set of TT fog lights, comes with all the wiring and mounting plate
getting them fitted when the bike is in for its 1st service

I made my own brackets. The Touratech style lights have been on about four bikes now

On one side a 55w fog light which is on all the time, and on the other side an HID which can only be used on main beam :thumb

Hello and welcome :D

Ok there are lotts of options i'm not sure if you realise but the search function, vendors and for sale are a fantastic resource. but possible only accessable if you subscribe.

I have had my subscription back many times over :augie

lots of ideas and pictures on this thread : Lights, indicators, electrics and alarm :thumb all different ideas

personaly I have the rugged roads light bar and the lights from L/W both fellow gser's :thumb2

http://www.ruggedroads.co.uk/shop/category_32/F800GS.html?shop_param=cid=&

this bar you can mount the lights on top or underneath or Both

good luck with your choice :beerjug:

Thanks for the suggestions. I assume you have all just wired these in to the lighting circuit. I have seen on 1200GS' a BMW switch but my dealer said they were unable to sell this separately?

cheers

I would run them with a switch through a relay.
Touratech do switches with a mounting bracket, although it is quite expensive.
I had a set of these on my XT660Z Tenere and they are excellent

A wiring loom is also available with switch & relay if you're not confident with the wiring:thumb

They're bling alright....we'll be selling these spot light kits as a HID option, so anyone can either have standard spot lights or HID spot lights:D

I'll have a set, do you have a website???

Are these spots or fogs?i want to get a set of long range spots to work with main beam and a set of those low voltage leds for visibility wired to the dip(via relays of course:) )

Mudmatt/Leggy, website will be live this weekend.

Chas820 - we'll be able to relay both sets so that spots work with main beam, and LED's work with the dip, or on switch...which ever you prefer. We have some pretty trick LED's in stock too......:D

So what's your website address then:thumb

website will be live over the weekend. It's www.adventurebikewarehouse.co.uk

We've spent weeks getting the warehouse and workshop set up, and getting good levels of stock in....

Anyway, don't want to get into trouble so won't mention it again:D

I need to bling up my bike, but as Gomez just pointed out, i don't ride the bike much in the dark...:blast

Never mind, I am a woman, and I want them NOW:augie

Oh alright, i will wait until the stock arrives...:(

Are the standard lights deficient......Or are these for 100MPH rally raids?

Heres a good bit of kit :augie

yeah OK i have the set up so i'm biased but.....................

if you think about what you want, spots, fogs, HiD, hell even cloud lights :blast more light, presence, safety.

but its good kit at the right price, look at the light bar . no look closer yeah strong and light weight but notice the angles crafted in the ends the ability to mount the lights up up down and further up or down by turning the light bar. held out at perfect presentation, road presence coupled with your head light (that triangle of light). and the light combinations from Mr L/W :thumb2

or you could get some brackets from B & Q or not be fussed :mmmm

sorry to harp on but when some thing is good its good to mention it:thumb2 :blagblah :blagblah

talk about designed for bikers by bikers not to mention fellow GSer,s.

good luck with your choice :thumb2
