Can someone offer up the information I require. *Cough Aid*

What chain would you recommend I get for my beast??..Been told to look at ones with 'split-link'... bugger I also need a front-sprocket..is this a BMW only part??

Yes I know there's a thread but I'm tired & weak..permission to call me names. :augie

What SamD said gunz..... Mine was aquired through a bmw dealer as part of a warranty claim.. so i dont have the exact part number...

Paddy -

You might have to take it on the chin and buy either BMW or Touratech sprockets unless you can get your old ones off and take them to a bike shop as patterns... Your front is definitely fekked, but like a tw@t I didn't look at your rear :augie ... but I'd happily take a guess that as your front is so bad, and your chain is as floppy as a pair of old woollen socks, your rear is going to be well past its sell-by date as well.

I replaced my chain with an 'Iris' x-ring in a fetching gold colour (it's a bit black and oily now though) and it made a tremendous and instant improvement. Greg Masters here at GSer has sold/is selling chains at a discount for board members, get hold of him and see what he can do for you. Try to get a chain of the right length (I can't remember how many links off the top of my head but some brainiac here will tell you...) which will save you having to p!ss around trying to shorten it, which can be a real biatch unless you have the right chain tool.
