F800GS Extras prices / opinions.

Ahoy there chad:bounce1

Getting the machine on the 3rd Jan, can't wait, going to be one dragging Christmas.

I've gone for the computer, centre stand and heated grips, but the bike is also coming with LED indicators. I've already got the Bark Busters on order but will also need crashbars and eventually a bash plate before doing anything other than easy lanes, let farkling commence:JB

where from i could see a little trip out to observe the tear in your eye when you pick up your new baby:D

Cheers for the help everyone (esp russh).

Current extras list is standing at approx £1000 , /gulp...

ABS - £510
On-Board - £115
Centre Stand - £85
Alarm - £140
Heated Grips - £195
Bash Plate - £
Hand Guards and Protectors - £

On top of the standard price of £6695 makes £7695 approx... Which seems cheaper than some of the second hand prices listed on the BM approved used bikes listing. I know they hold their prices well but not THAT well lol...

Guess will see what deal bristol motrrad can offer on saturday :)

just a thought, what about looking for a second hand one with all the bits fitted you might get a better deal:D

We were originally going for second hand but some of the prices of the approved bikes were way to high.... Just looked at the site again and there are some better options.

Battersea have 2 priced at 6.2k and 6.4k (1yellow ,1 silver) which is good, only 1 has an alarm though and the distance makes sorting PX slightly harder. Will have to check the price of fitting a approved alarm.

The question really is what is the value of losing 1 years warranty and 3k worth of miles on the bike ....

would it matter if you were keeping the bikes? if you can get them with the bits you listed you would save a fair bit you would have to be prepaired to travel around the various dealers to get the ones to your spec,
what ever you choose enjoy it anyway.btw merry chrimbo:thumb2

Well the dead has been done. Deposit has been but down on 2 new 800GS's to be ready in the new year :bounce1 (1 of each colour).

Cheers for all the help guys , it is much appreciated and to all the dealers we harressed (there was many !!) but finally went with Ocean in Plymouth , very friendly and helpful (and a good deal was done).

Looking forward to finally riding them :) Esp getting some Off-road experience :bounce1

Steve

PS Best bit is they told me my falco wasnt worth PXing so we gonna keep it for now and maybe use it as a track bike :thumb
