Hi all

Just a quick one really, I have the lower seat on the f800gs but could really do with the standard one, cos I'm lanky !!!

If anyone out the wants to swap shout at me or tomorrow I'm off to eBay with it and buying a standard one

It's in good condition, I have modded the first aid section to fit a bigger kit in there, but happy to keep the kit on it

Cheers Cris

Wiltshire btw if anyone want to swap or view

I am happy with the ones I have seen online for around £75 + pp

This is more if someone needs a lower seat, cos I really don't hurts my arse :)

Ps I work in reading so not that far away

The standard seat is uncomfy! You'd be better with the BMW comfort seat or other, sergent, touratwat, corbin.... :)

I didn't think the standard seats that bad but since I am off to the stella alpine rally in july and its agood old run so I had it into saddlekraft and had it sorted out with gel to keep my butt happy

Please take it away and try it. If it's what you want send me the money, if it isn't bring it back :-)

It was on my new bike for two weeks, then I bought a comfort seat.

I work in Egham, bang on j13 m25. You can collect it from my work between 7.30 and 5.00 pm Mon - Thurs if that helps.

My lowered seat was perfectly comfortable to begin with because it has a wider section for the butt - more surface area, less pressure etc etc. However the problem was that it went flat after a year and i could eventually feel the base of the seat through the foam. The standard seat has a narrower profile which is what i think caused my problems with it.

I now have a Tony Archer refitted seat which feels hard initially however you get used to it - after a long day it causes a dull ache rather than actual pain like the standard did.

If you can try before you buy on a standard it'd be well worth the effort - what you save on buying a standard seat will afford you a refit by Archer or there was another seat company closer to you but i can't for the life of me remember their name :blast

Best of luck,

S
