I know this is one of the easiest things in the world, or at least it should be but maybe I can't see the trees for the forest, but I can't work this puzzle out and generally speaking I am quite good with Lego.

So I bought a Rugged Roads Fat Foot and it came on Saturday morning, so I went to put it on tonight, and the thing doesn't seem to want to fit.

The top piece seems dead on, the middle piece fits well but the base seems to be upside down?

So if I were able to attach it to the rest of the Fat Foot the bolts would be dug into the ground, although that's irrelevant as it won't attach to the rest of the Fat Foot itself?

Am I missing something or is it upside down, here are some pics to try and explain what I mean...

Morning. Sorry not to respond to your email last night, but Sunday evening is the one part of the week we don't work :inlove

Over the years we've been manufacturing the Fat Foot for the F800 bikes, and had a few customers mention the same as you, we have found that a small percentage had had the base of the sidestand welded on the opposite way to normal. This means that our standard fat foot base does not fit.

So, we keep a stock of the bases with the studs fitted the other way up, so that it will fit your bike, and one is on its way to you today No need to return the other one.

as Annette has stated you have what we call a friday afternoon side stand :D:D:D nothing to worry about we have seen about 10-15 of these over the years and we keep a small stock of plates with the studs in reverse order just for this situation:thumb2 unfortunately we have no way of knowing till you try to fit it:blast , so apology's for the aggravation :)

Far more eloquently put than me Chad. Cheers :beerjug:

As promised, was posted today, so you should be sorted in a day or two.

Lovely job guys, thanks for sorting so quickly.

I wasn't expecting a reply on a Sunday evening, I just posted up to make sure I wasn't being thick, or in case anyone had seen a similar issue, but anyway I knew a prompt reply would be on route.

So thanks again for sorting me out so quickly!

I also had the same problem on my 700 GS - studs were the wrong way up ! All sorted by Annette, after several very pleasant 'phone calls - all now fitted and works fine.
Many thanks Annette - also bought their rear rack, which fitted with no problems and looks great.
I like Rugged Roads !

Looks like those are for when you change the stand to the other side to convert to left-hand drive on the continent. :augie
