F800R Wheels on a F800GS

Hey all, was wondering if you could put f800R Wheels stright onto the GS?
I am thinking of have a road set of tyes on the R wheels, and then off road tyres on the GS ones!

SM wheels rather than R

The disks are bigger on the R front wheel so adapter plates would be needed to use the same forks etc

I had a 17" rim fitted to another hub and fitted sportstouring tyres to both wheels

It was good with a 21" front now it's even more fun.

One of the issues is the size of the rear rim but if you got hold of a pair of hubs and then built wheels to fit it could be increased but probably not to take a 180

Swapping wheels also means swapping sprockets and chain although in this case i guess you could swap the rear to the second wheel

Front ABS issues were solved with a part from a Wunderlich SM conversion for the 650 single
