Thought I’d post this under a new heading to make it easier for others to find.
The video below is really useful. Let me explain why:
Initially I was looking to remove the baffles from my Akropovic, for a slightly deeper sound (F900 Eduro Pro). Worked well on the NineT I had. On the GS, requires drilling the rivets out though. Doable, but not ideal. The better option appears to be to remove the resonator box and save well over kg into the bargain. An inexpensive link pipe costing anything from around £30 will do the job. The cat is in the main header system, so new header pipes are requires for the cat delete. Much more expensive. The video not only shows you how to delete both resonator and cat, but shows decibel readings with just resonator box removed and then with cat removed too. Seems that the cat isn’t really worth removing as well, as the really big advantages come from removing the resonator box alone. Had tip to Ronnie Lindbergh for the video:
