Face recognition…

Quite simply, if you’ve done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear from facial recognition. As for human rights. They cause nothing but trouble. A controversial point of view I know.HOWEVER, most folk don’t need laws to know how to treat other folk .

The Met’s face recognition van was positioned in Oxford Street this morning, near enough outside Bond Street tube station, facing towards Oxford Street tube exit.

To my immense joy, the Met leapt into action just as I was approaching. Six or so large coppers, nicked a scrote. The bloke, I’d guess in his mid-20’s was foolish enough to decide that he didn’t want to assist the Met with their enquiries then and there and put up a fight. He hit the pavement with a very satisfying crack, whilst the Met’s finest piled in for ‘afters’.

He wasn’t quite so mouthy, after he’d been cuffed, face down, hauled up and led off.

Excellent free entertainment…. . though I do pay their wages.
Was it that father Ted bloke who wrote hurty words on twatter? Another incident in the growing "They don't help themselves" file.

Sainsbury’s are trialling facial recognition in some of their stores ready for a national rollout.
Cue the ‘sinister and intrusive’ complaints from the usual. Ferals and yobbish scrotes hopefully put out.
I’m all for it (and ID cards) but I don’t shop at Sainsbury so hope Waitrose start similar soon.
Then again police don’t arrest shoplifters so maybe nothing will change.
