Hey,

Does anyone know if the 2014 R1200GS Adventure can get the factory lowered suspension option? I know that the standard R1200GS can but can't find anything on the BMW website about this option for the Adventure.

Thx

If you mean 2015 GSA than Yes, 50mm lowered factory option takes the seat down to 840 (in the low set thats 10mm lower than stock gs) you can also fit the low gs seat but it looks odd with the low seat fitted and the huge tank.

Factory cost option i think its £170 ish

:)

I have seen two 2014 1200 GSA bikes with factory lowered suspension

You might ask Julia Sanders at GlobeBusters UK, I believe she has one or will know who does.

Considering how the standard seat is:

Front seat (standard): 890 / 910 mm

The website states that you can get the low seat option:

Front seat, low: 840 / 860 mm

If one was to choose the factory lowered suspension which takes off 50mm:

Then the bike can conceivably be lowered to 790mm?

Is that correct?

Not quite, the lowered GS only goes down to 800mm, so I doubt the GSA will go lower than that. The lowered suspension isn't 50mm lower it's more like 20 to 30mm + the low seat, same as the GS.

Best way to find out for sure ask your local dealer.
