The Nurburgring's open for full access on the weekend of 6-8th of July. I'd love to take the HP2 out there but I'm going with a group of sportbike riders and taking my Ducati.

However... cunning plan... if anyone here fancied coming on their HP, I'd have a brilliant excuse to take mine. Be brilliant if we could get four or five of us out there together :thumb2

Fancy it? Be a proper hoot of a weekend:beerjug:

What you need is a lardy old 1200gsa to slow you all down / make you look like bike gods:D :D

Wanna buy an umbrella for Glastonbury!!!!:Motomartin

nurburg

yeah im up for it let me know what the travelling situation is as i would take my truck with bike in the back 'just in case the worst happens normally go over on the over night from harwich to the hook?? would need to book ferry asap

Sorry for not updating this but I'm still recovering from 7 days spent at Glastonbury :eek

Things have changed slightly - the lot I was going with have had to change their dates to the 9th-12th of July. Unfortunately the track is only open from 17h45-19h30 on those dates so I pulled out of joining them. It's too far to go for only 1 1/2 hours of track time.

On a positive note, I'm still up for going on the 6th- 8th of July if anyone else fancies it. I've had one other board member PM me so that's two of us :D ( don't worry you can be on any bike - it doesn't have to be an HP2 ).
I haven't booked any accommodation yet and it might be tricky getting some this late. It's going to be a popular weekend because the track is open 08:00 - 19:30 Sat & Sun and 14:15 - 19:30 on Friday. If there is definite interest I will phone a few of the hotels I know about to see what's available. I've taken a tent before and slept in it without any problems...

Travel arrangements would be to leave Eurostar Folkestone at around 8am on the 6th July and arrive at the Ring around 3pm. For the return journey we'd leave the Ring around midday on the 8th July and be back in Folkestone around 5. It's roughly 300 miles from Calais to the 'Ring.

If you want to stick your bike in a van I've got a VW transporter that will fit 3 bikes into but only one passenger + driver. It would be a lot more comfortable than riding an HP2 there and back :D
