Silly question I know but I couldn't find the answer on google. Should my lc have a fan behind both rads? Or just one?

My 2017 GS only has a fan behind the right side radiator. Slightly concerned that it doesn't take much to get it spinning, just a short time stuck in town centre traffic and it starts up.

Mine only has one there too. Phew. Was concerned that the dealer didn't refit it last one it was in for a new engine! Yes, in warmer weather it does come on pretty quickly.

Think yourself lucky on my Ducati the exhaust used to run under an inch away from the family planning, in town to say it was uncomfortable is an understatement

Just the one fan on all water cooled Gs models, the water is pumpped through both radiators, the bikes fine when moving, fan runs regularly if stopped or in slow traffic

Why be concerned - the fan is only on for less than a minute before it's brought the temp down 5 or 6 degrees and switched off.

Nothing to worry about. It's then doing what it is supposed to. It should kick in around 95-99 and cut off about 80-85.

You sure about that cut off range - more likely 94/95 degrees.

I think the thermostat doesn't fully open till it reaches 80.

Don't be surprised. It's not cooling lots of liquid like a traditional water cooled engine

I couldn't last to 2:40. What a wanker. I can't believe American motorcyclists are so thick they need a briefing like that.

Oh I don't know, at least it shows that the sales people know the machine, and judging from some of the spectacularly ill-informed comments on here, possibly at least some UK buyers would benefit from a briefing on what they are actually buying. Though that would rely on UK sales people actually having a clue! :)
