Farkle development including the front crud

Crud touring ordered. I should be getting my bike this Saturday coming. I can see from this thread you are very busy Mark. Is there any chance that the item could be with me for Saturday?

Dario :D

enjoy the new bike and good luck

"well wear" as we say here in the west.
you will have it well run in by the time your trip comes up.

My lc is sitting at the dealers, I am reluctant to surrender the k16gt!
went for TE in same colors as mark.
Suspect I will collect it saturday.
Touring crud catcher ordered from Mark

Hi pal, here is my solution - the `Ultimate Blast` horn (same as the nautilus eh?) I have used has been located right up underneath the beak and attached, via a crafty bracket, to the headstock. To be fair and as you know, Norman Birtles asked me to find a solution - I didn`t know it was for you - so i will be sending him the bracket (made in stainless steel and c/w stainless fasteners) to him and I am sure he will forward it on to you mate.

Any problems fitting it then please call me, its quite easy but you do need to work on the access to get the 2nd bolt tightened up.

I hope it works for you................ my only concern is that the horn isn`t straight but tilted forward - there is no way round this bacuse of the fork travel when turning the bars.

And it doesnt look like the shite and funny solution your dealer came up with :thumb

Hi Mark,
Sent you a PM at your business email. Ordered TOURER CRUD CATCHER and paid using PAYPAL. Be well and enjoy your bike ...Ed

Not much scope to work with, it's a massive front cover and not many attachment points, couple with a very close front mudguard

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I reckon there will be a few corroded front covers, replaced under warranty

Have you got the bike now Stevie?

Picked my shortie up today, Fantastic and the Sun came out as well :bounce1.

Err no mate I've been up country at a reunion do so the liver and head are still a bit pickled. Thank god the misses drove home.............never again.......:augie
Until next weekend . I'm going into oceans tomorrow:D:flag

I'm surprised that BMW chose to have a painted metal cover in the most vulnerable part of the bike:rob As my last few bikes had a plastic cover on the front of the engine, I never found one stone chip. Without the crud, after a few miles, there will be a lot of shot blasted front engine covers out there.

OMG

OMg, guys, the bike is awesome.

I did nearly 300 miles on it today (hartside cafe and back - I`m the ugly one on the right).

It`s not because `I`ve got one` but the bike is awesome, well at least compared to my beloved 2010 GSA - its light, flickable, very fast (not even run in), brakes are fantastic and its soooo sure fotted i was amazed - it simply bred confidence

I rode my mates tenere (at the front) and also my mates Anni GSA and they seemed sooo heavily and sluggish compared to the LC (at the back)

wow - I am truly amazed - and the seating position was spot on and very comfy seat too!

really impressed.

And the front crud helped a great deal - I have the shortie version but I can see why the lads prefer the touring verson - anyway, awesome bike and I thank you all for allowing me the day off especially you, nuttygser :D

Glad you made it out especially given the good weather. I don't suppose you headed back down the M1 around 6.30ish. I was coming back up from NEC and spotted a Tenere and a GS LC going south kind of Barnsley way I'm guessing but as I was enjoying myself so much I wasn't really concentrating on where I actually was :thumb
