Farkle development including the front crud

Thanks mate.:thumb if they're going spare, send em over, and I'll pop them on:D:beerjug:

On the VERY FIRM understanding that these are `just` beta versions (but bloody good nonetheless) I will happily send them to you.

just be sure to understand that they ain`t the end version but for free I expect you to understand that - as I am sure you will:rob

email me your address to [email protected] and i`ll send them to you.

Received my rad covers today too, wow they are fantastic!

Thanks Mark:beerjug:

good, I am pleased - sh*tloads of effort and time went into making them :bounce1

I doubt any of us could buy such horny crotch rubbing gear, made by an obsessed loon, for anything less than 4 times as much.

such is the lunacy................

if i did it as a viable business i`d be knackered within months.

New you wouldn't be happy with inferior TT ones, :D

I'd never use 'inferior' and 'TT' in the same sentence (IMHO I do believe its mostly good stuff) but I would use 'bloody dreadful service, up their own bums, lost contact with their own customers, and far too commercially driven' in the same sentence with TT.

But in fairness I guess that's capitalism, profit, shareholders put over clients and hard business?

I couldn't agree more Mark:thumb

i`m pleased I`m not the only one.

I do see, sometimes unfairly, people beating TT with a stick - sometimes they are right but I find it a disappointment when the same people don`t try to also put a fair case, mentioning the quality and also trying to see `why` they seem to have on occasion lost their way.

I have some splendid TT gear, in fact its been hard for me to improve on it. Yet I find it a shame that they could do sooooo much more to keep us, their customers, on their side - some of the delivery lead time horror stories leave me agast as there is no need for it and they certainly have the resources to keep it `right`.

But anyway I am certainly not here to beat TT with a stick - far from it - and this isn`t a thread about such so I will stop being :topic and get back to what this thread is all about.

At work at the moment, should have a rear crud designed and made later today............

watch this space.................

Mark, I don't know how you intend to attach the rear crud catcher but the BMW bits look grim with those loops around the frame tubes. Hope you can tidy that attachment up somewhat.

Ah - thats not a `hugger` mate, rather a rear crud catcher that fixes on the number plate like the GS and GSA ones I did.

before i start spendin some wedge with TT, would you be interested in making headlight protectors?:D these would look fab to match the rad and crud protectors:thumby:

Rear Crud

Ok guys - this is the rear crud. Its something that doesn`t lend itself to creative design being a more `utility` or purposeful item then something that qualifies for `weapons grade eye candy` like the delicious radiator protectors.

Its been made as a rear crud to fit the LC because, for some reason, the GS`s tend to throw a lot of sh*te up over the back of the bike. Why, I don`t know but TT saw this too and make a plastic version (I am sure it does a splendid job).

To improve on the TT design (if possible) I`ve made it from more durable stainless and designed it to add some supportive strength to the number plate itself (without going over the top).

As I said, not much I could do to such a utilitarian item but I wanted one anyway. Hope you like it.

Yes I would be interested but FFS please don`t wait for me to get my sad ass in gear. yes I tend to turn my stuff round much much quicker than TT but if they can supply `off the shelf` and quickly then please don`t put your headlight at risk by waiting for me!

no ill wait:D no pressure mate:thumby: out of all of em i like the tt one because it shows the funky sections of the light, if you get round to it don't forget i want number one, signed:D

Right ok and thank you, I will look to come up with `something` - you remain totally unobliged as I have no idea what I will produce (it might be sh*te!) but if I do manage to come up with something `nice` then by all means you may have the first. If we get that far PLEASE do me a favour and remind me to sign it and I will not only do that but `personalise` it for you

Anyway, lets try to get to the point where i`ve come up with something half decent first...............

I think you're spot on Mark....

When I first got my first GSA in 2006 Touratech was the Mecca of the bolt on goodies. I'd spend ages on the stall at bike shows drooling over the products, and flicking through the catalogue.....

....but I've bought Touratech products in the past that I've not even bothered to fit to the bike because of the poor quality, or poor fit of it. I don't think they've improved, and I don't really look to buy anything from them much anymore.

I find the wunderlich products much better...and of course your items, which just ooze quality.

I agree that with the resources at their disposal they should be able to balance quality, with production, and good customer service....sometimes I think they've been No1 for so long that they think it's their right.

Anyway....like you say this isn't a Touratech beating thread, but an impressive thread by somebody doing it right :thumb2

Its a genuine shame that they have lost their way, I hope they do rediscover whatever they had back in 2006 which made bikers like us drool over their stuff.

I'd have a rear crud if you can do a powder coated one with no logo. How much would one be?
