Alright all. Maybe this thread shouldn't be here, but the guy has an LC GS so it's a good place to start. I'm sure the mods will punish me appropriately:

The guy is called Bruce Smart. He was in for a remap with his LC yesterday and I got talking to him. Turns out he's ridden around the world - on a GSXR1000. 74000 miles!!! Did it as a promise to his dying mum. His trip is fascinating - he was held for ransom by Boko Haram amongst other highlights. As a would be adventurer who's never taken my GS any further than Luxembourg I almost felt ashamed to talk to him. Anyway, have a look at his youtube channel and website and be impressed:

I was in McDonalds once and got chatting to an old white heaired white bearded guy sat in a corner. He was showing interest in our bikes parked outside.

Turned out to be Simon Gandolfi.

I'd never heard of him, but facinatingly he went around the world on a 125cc

Wrote books, MCN did a feature on him... and there he was sat in McDonalds.

Look for the book "Old man on a bike"

How do you even contemplate doing that on a Gixer

Good one. Yeah respect for doing that on a Gixer :bow... and not faffing around with adding the whole load of Touratech accessories to a 1200 GSA. :D

Thanks very much for the mention Mark, and thanks to everyone else for the kind words.

Was a pleasure to chat with Mark and Geoff at HillTop, that's some setup you lads have there, and I can't even put into words what a difference you've made to the GS.

Now 116bhp at the wheel.

Probably the best way to describe it is.....

Bbbrrrrraaaappppp!!!
