Fast Bright HiD's now in stock

I think i might have had these fitted only last night by Les and read it here first ... they are instant.

I made a wee video which shows the instantaneousness of 'em .. but its massive, so once i've trimmed my Rossi in the Dark movie, Les will i'm sure share it with you somehow.

But if an unbiased user' comment will do you ... they are immediate. Comparable with the usual OEM candle powered thing we've all bought in terms of instant ON-ness and a zillion times brighter.

Uh huh :aidan

I've had a pair of Hid's from Les for over 5 years now, on both dip and main. The "delay" on main beam was rarely an issue, as I just used to warm the ballast up at regular intervals. I finally killed one though, so replaced it with one of these new Fast Bright ballasts on Sunday. Superb service from Les, as ever, and now have instantaneous response from the switch. :thumb
No lampf issues with my bike, '05 1200. :nenau

Just as a matter of interest, how is the 'instant' bit achieved?

Do the ballasts whack an ever bigger boost through on fire up, or are the bulbs themselves different? :nenau

Having just gotten around to fitting mine, its not instant on first use. Faster then the others I had but there is still a noticeable delay - a second or so while the intensity increases. So they are fast but not instant. I'm using a standard 50w HID bulb - I only changed the ballast. Once energised they are instant but then so were my old ones. I have not been able to determine yet how long that first charge is effective for.

Keep an eye on it, any problems let me know, the FB's i have fitted are way faster than the standard, it clicks straight in then a slight click/flicker again a second (if that) later as it sort of takes a second stage, but stays bright, bit hard to explaine, but if you see an Audi or Range Rover etc use its high beam, they are just like that.

Let there be light - and make it quick!

Les fitted hid 50s dip and main to my 1150GS yesterday. The installation was carried out with superb attention to detail :thumb backed up with fun banter and excellent tea:jager, very welcome after an icy early morning trip from North Wales. The improvement in lighting over the original oem fit is astounding :thumb2 with the latest FB fitted to the main powering up really quickly:clap:clap. The previous reservations I had about having a hid main have been entirely overcome.

PS Les, as promised, I didn't mention anything about bacon butties:D

Finally got around to fitting my FB ballast last week - what an improvement! No delay at all - instant sunlight on tap....

Sorry it took so long Les :augie
