Maybe it is just due to the slightly different sound of the 1250 motor, but tickover, even when fully warmed up, seems faster than my 1200 was.

Hard to tell with any accuracy from the tacho display, but it seems to be about 1100 rpm. Maybe it is high for the running in period and will be adjusted at the first service due at the end of the month?

Can someone who has had the running in service tell me what the tickover revs are set to on their bike?

Thanks in advance,

Fred

The initial reviews said the tickover was lower on the 1250 - maybe made possible by the optimised cam timing at lower revs??

Thanks for the replies - I have found some reference online to the tickover being 1100 rpm, so I guess that is just normal.

I think it is in the manual, I will check my 2018 1200 manual later, can someone check their 1250 manual?

Just shows I should have read the manual - took a little finding but this is what it says:

"Idle speed 1050 min-1, Engine at regular operating temperature"

I think mine is a little faster than that so will get them to check at my service on the 30th.
