Twice in 12 months have sent packages with them to uk, both times lost.

one was a full motorbike wheel and took them over 2 months find it

2nd was collected in may. at start august i had finally got reply back from them telling methey lost an expensive electronic item i had posted. the then said they dont post to po box numbers. well i asked why wasnt that listed in terms and conditions and was told they dont know

i was refunded 50 euro.

this is max they pay. so months without my tablet and lost 200 euro and 50 max they cover no matter how expensive the item

so beware, you pay for what get, they are cheap so all you get is cheap crappy service

UPS lost a gearbox for my Triumph Spitfire. The moron in the warehouse in Cork kept saying they never got it, it's in London, no it's in Dublin blah blah.
While he went off to make another call, I took a wander around the warehouse and found it myself. He wasn't even embarrassed about it.

ALL courier companies are basically useless.

well i have been told max they pay is 50 euro as they subcontract them to different post company.

so even htough they say 150 sterling max insurance they claim the 2nd company nly has max 50 euro so they only liable for 50 euro

load of cock

.... its fastways problem if the subcontractor has crap insurance not yours - your contract is with fastway and they are legally bound by their conditions. Even £150 is a pretty shit max, don't let them fob you off John !

thought fastway went tits up. We had lots of the prepaid tickets left over.

All couriers are good......until they lose one of your parcels, then they are fekkin useless at sorting it out.:blast

think be job for small calims court next week if they have not sorted it

Tis a long time ago but I used to work in the pallet and parcel world. The basic minimum insurance that the FTA rules allow is based on weight, and it is set very low.
From memory it might have been as low as £150 per metric tonne :eek This will vary from company to company, however it is only basic insurance and most if not all freight companies can offer better cover for an extra fee, which if I was shipping "expensive electronic items" I would consider.
