I have been struggling to stay stood up on the Adv on the dirt tracks here and getting decidedly wobbly at times as the tracks are tuning to sand/gravel/rocks as summer approaches. I ordered the Fastway pegs (yes I know they are pricey) all I can say is what a bl**dy difference not having your foot bent across those narrow standard pegs. Sound investment I think

I looked at the Fastway Footpegs, they seem very well designed.

Does anyone know if they will fit a 2005 650 Dakar?

I did mail Norman (Mr Nippy) but he was unsure.

I have looked at them and as you say the standard ones kill the instep after a while, They will probably be my next buy and am I right in thinking they lower the height a bit?

Yes depending on which way you mount the inserts (Its in the destructions) it lowers the peg by 1/2"

They will fit with a little elbow grease. They will also not fold up completely like the stock setup. We've done many and they appear to be all the same.

thanks,
Andrew

Yes, BUT ....... you may have trouble with the brake lever.
The Fastway peg is lower than the standard peg, and if you look closely, you will notice that the rear brake lever cannot be adjusted down.
I had a lot of trouble with the brake lever then being too high and too easily locked, so I had to remove the Fastways for my own safety.
Shame as they are great pegs and I have them on my R1200GS, but without adjustability of the brake lever, it can be a problem.
Maybe others have managed to sort it, but I didn't.

I took them off my 1100GS and put them on my 12GS with no problems at all. But I put them on so as not to lower the pegs. If you flip over the bushings you will probably be fine.

I must have bent feet but then I always struggled with the brake and the standard pegs when stood up

Really?

I fitted them to my 1150.

Superbly made bit of kit. Very high quality.

But the chaps at SPC adjusted the brake lever downwards so I didn't keep touching it.

Is the 1200 so different?

I may be reading it wrongly but it looks as though Vampire's post is in answer to "will they fit a 2005 650"!
