Fatal Crash in Kilkee

I am just back from the "bring Aidan home" escort.
Sad but incredible, The Garda motorcycle guys were superb.
They actually stopped the M50 traffic Northbound.
I haven't seen anything like it since Joey.

Yeah, it was an emotional, almost surreal experience. The Garda Traffic Core where brilliant today.
It was a measure of how well the man was thought of.
RIP Aidan.

Heard about this through a friend of his. What a terrible tragedy for his family. I hope they will be able to take some comfort from the way in which his life seems to have touched all those who knew him. Incredible how an accident like this, apparently caused by the simple inattention of one person for that moment, can reverberate through his children's and wider family's lives and from my experience even into the next generation not yet born.
Another good guy who was doing his best to make the world a better place. RIP

Funeral's tomorrow.
10 a.m.
St. Marys Church, Lucan.
.................................
Often met Aidan at various events where he'd be raising money.
Linda knew him better as she helped him promote, especially when he started, things he was doing.
When you think of the happy things about riding a Bike - Aidan was the personification of all that means.
Many have said he was 'An ambassador' for Biking.
True, but if you met him - even just once, you'll know that doesn't come close to doing him justice and all the work he accomplished for so many.

So sad to lose him.
