Dear Tossers, am asking the above question..any ideas??

I have just posted in technical, for sale, and wanted, ...so it looks like I'm a bit of a tosser, Could not have put it better myself !

Thank you.

Scott.

There is no 'one' answer to that. depends on so many things. how much do you want to carry is probably top of the list.

I'm happy enough with the system panniers.. but then I travel solo. with a top-box and the rear seat area to utilise if necessary.

My opinion? - Vern's:

Brilliantly made, bullet proof bespoke boxes and frames.

However as motobiker says, there's as many answers to your question as there are riders and panniers ;)

+1 Verns, and there is a set for sale on the site at the moment.

thanks

Hi Chaps.....loving this site...awesome..

pic shows my 'identical' bike wearing the' verns'..look great.

thanks again
Scott.

A good thread to look at is http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65495&highlight=show+panniers

It will give you a good look at what's out there, I went for a set of caja sahel's and love them.

Happy hunting.

I too am happy with the System panniers, with a 'Stubby' fitted (not possible on an 1100) I have plenty of space.
Though it's obviously a matter of personal taste I think the large metalboxes look bleeding Horrible.. :augie

Anything with a flip-top lid opening... I find them so much easier to fill and close than 'clam' types. I've had both.

After that... well it's up to how much you want to spend. :augie

Fanum did a pannier comparasion thread with all the panniers, the users, and the likes and dislikes, pros and cons, specs, pictures etc etc.

It was made a sticky, will tell you everything you need to know but i can't find it at the moment. :D

(Saved my ass (on more than one occasion!) when I hit a diesel patch in Nice and stopped the bike from falling on my legs. Small scrape but really really good bit of Kit for the money.

Send Redcap a message here. I like verns also - but couldnt justify the additional cost for the amount of use that I would use them for ( 2 weeks year?)

My tupence!
