so to get a Full BMW Service History stamp, I'm going to pay £500-odd for a 24,000 mile service on a 2 and 1/2 year old bike..
Am I wasting my money getting the mail agent to do it?

and worse, they say the rear disc... DISC!! is worn and new pads and a disc will cost another £500-odd. I said I would leave it.
A new disc from MotoBins is £150 (or 70 from EBC) and the pads will probably be 20. So how the ...k do they make 500 out of that??

The last service on my car - yes a BMW - at 65,000 miles, which included new brakes all round and oil that's more expensive than printer ink, was 700.

It's still a brilliant bike but those servicing costs will drive me away.

thank you for listening, I feel better now..

Buy BMW parts yourself and take it to an independent for the service, if you still have a warranty it is not invalidated by using BMW parts. Get the independent to check the brake disc to see if it is in tolerance before replacing it. Never take the word of a Stealer at face value, remember they have nice shiny showrooms to be paid for. :rob
