Hi Guys,

Got my JVB DVD through and Jim talks of using a little measuring bottle for filling the final drive, has anyone suggestions on whats a good one to go for??

So poundstretchers or boots or the likes anywhere i could find such a bottle that would be the ticket?

Cheers
Mark

100ml syringe and a length of neoprene tube. Give it two full doses. Job done. If the bike has a drain plug undo the Paralever anyway and swing it down and up. This redistributes the grease in the paralever bearing. Moving the rear U/J (which also moves over a small angle) does the same for that one.

I also use the syringe for the gearbox. Not all oil bottles come with a tube spout.

Change your gearbox oil at the same time:
Take one 1litre bottle of oil, fill gearbox to the correct level. That will use 800cc and leave 200cc in the bottle. Drain the FD and add the 200cc of oil.
Job done, no leftovers to store on a shelf; you also now have a handy 1 litre bottle into which you can decant the drained oil to transport it to your local recycling centre.
