Don't know what's changed, but can't do more than 30 miles without my ass going dead so looking for a saddle upgrade, is anyone willing to let me try out their Sargent seat or air hawk for an afternoon to help me decide what direction to go.

The problem is your ass, not the bike.
Man up.

Personal questions -
Are you under 45?
Do you get the buttock pain at any other times?
Does it feel like a pulled muscle?

My seat experiences -
  • Standard GSA - Use-able but too high for me and a bit narrow so weight on perineum area got uncomfortable.
  • Standard GS - Just right for height but a 1" x 2" lump at the back in the middle (what is that about) dug right into my tail bone.
  • Sargent - I found the standard height too hard, the edge dug into my leg and the seat width made reaching the floor even harder. Lower height solved the digging and leg reach but left my knees crimped and handlebars too high.
  • Kahedo standard height solved the leg reach issue and didn't dig into my inside leg. It's also more supportive so no perineum discomfort and no lump in the plastic pan to dig into my tail bone.

Personal questions -
Are you under 45? Yes 34
Do you get the buttock pain at any other times? No, pain is more in my coxes.
Does it feel like a pulled muscle? No, feels like I've sat on a concrete floor for two hours, when I dismount I can't just jump off, have to ease my self of the seat. After a couple of minutes all good again.

Need to do something got a bug euro holiday coming up soon.

Thanks for all the offers will let you know but hope somebody closer can help me out.

I asked because early signs of a spinal disc problem can be misleading. Another one is a feeling like a sprained ankle after walking or running even though you've not injured the ankle. You are the right age (older folks cant get a disc prolapse), but you dont sound like a candidate.

A fall onto coccyx in the past can predispose to pain while sitting, making a lumpy seat especially uncomfortable.

If you have the standard GS seat, feel at the back through the padding. If you can find a central lump under the padding its likely that's digging in. It did with me so I ended up with a standard height Kahedo seat.

Seats

Get a Corbin, did 90,000 on the 1150 and a few on the 1200 put an ad in the wanted ad's on here I got a seat fore the 1200 just like that for £70.

Dave willing to give anything a go!

Take up cycling! In no time at all you'll have an arse as tough as a rhinoceros and will feel no pain in that area again!
You'll also get the extra bonus of being able to contribute to the cycling thread elsewhere on this forum in an informed manner :D

Have you tried playing a bit with the standard seat? raise the front to the tall position, rear adjuster to the low and give it a whirl, worked for me :)
