Fed up of Spokes

Don't know yet.

I might put them on first, and then decide :)

Makes sense to wear them PR tyres out, through the winter/spring. Then come summer put spokes back on while your cast wheels are getting painted. That way you only need to effectively change tyres once.

Agreed.

That's the plan sorted then :)

I hope you’re painting them black?

If you do decide to paint them , be aware that the alloy used now seems soft and if you have them acid dipped ( like most powder coaters do) this will weaken the structure of the alloy, as most will not monitor the time in the tank.
Make sure the coater is aware of the alloy and processes with care to the alloy.

I was thinking of hammerite and a brush tbh

Thanks Stick, yes I was reading about that... and magnesium alloy causes trouble as well. Something to do with heat in the furnace?

Anyways, I might just leave them as they are. There's plenty of grey still on my bike to complement these wheels... frame, tank, engine covers...

Anyone tried ceramic coating them?
I’ve got a bottle I never used on my cars paint and am wondering if it would make them easier to clean.

Yes....I have.....and yes, IMHO, it does make cleaning easier :thumb2

Totally lost on all this wheel cleaning stuff, bit of muc off good spray with a karcher, not to close mind you and happy days................:hippy

Black is the very worst colour for wheels:barf:barf

I used to think that too but give ‘em a wipe and polish with the old Vulcanet stuff and they are more than acceptable :)
