Bought my (6th) GS in 18 years this April, 12 thousand miles on it now (Europe) . Just got back from Sicily and Ive not had any issues at all. Nothing, Nada..... And the TFT media, phone, etc all worked a treat, everytime.
So, whys my heap of shit bike not exploding, or rotting, or coming loose ?

Even Mount Etna in the background is chuffing, and coughing and smoking ....... :D

I’m afraid it looks like you’ve got a “bad un” get shot before anyone finds out

I’d take it back as this is not acceptable

We hand over our hard earned and expect all sorts to go wrong :(

I’m on my 7th GSA (2016) and true to form at 600 yes 600 miles the water pump started leaking :blast

However I’m now on 4000 and it has not imploded, rotted, rear wheel exploded (my 2014 one did ) and seems to be running very nicely :D

18000 miles, mostly Europe and in some right shyte weather, never missed a beat in 3 years. Not a single issue

Onahi, after 13000 miles on my GSA I have the same problems as you have...:thumb
But I could be tempted by more TORQUE...:D (1250 shift-cam)

Im not tempted by the VVT & More power. I've got the Rallye set up exactly how i want it, its a keeper. And anyway, I'd never buy a new model without at least three years development down the line.........

24,000 miles and smiles on mine, needed rear pads at 18k, a few sets of tyres everything else, so far no issues. I was beginning to wonder if I was special...

I thought I had got a bad one that is faultless but luckily on my third European trip in three years the headlight bulb blew so I can finally moan about the useless piece of German shite.

18000 miles in 16 months and it's still mint condition and perfect every time I ride it. Tyres and servicing is all it's cost me.

Wonderful bike

These threads are good to see as a new owner that hasn't picked my bike up yet. :thumb

My 2018 is faultless as yet but the new tyres Battleaxe trail's arent as good as the anakee 3's that i had on my vstrom they stuck like shite to a blanket in the wet.
