Fellow water bearers.

Hmmm. Sunbury is where BP is based, owner of Castrol. Castrol HQ is in Swindon. There are no engine dyno's in Sunbury. From someone who used to work at BP.

There you got then, I guess the dynos are in Swindon. However, the fact still remains that Castrol develop oils to vehicle manufacturers specifications.

Dubious facts if you cant get them right my friend.

Of course the oil men work with the motor men. But exclusivity? Nah. Nothing but marketing BS.

Actually, a lot of the BP/Castrol oil R & D is done at the BP Saltend plant using the test engines and dynos there.

Incidentally, windychufup why do you think that research is done at HQ level ?. Usually at these locations you will not see any "dirty work" going on.

I never said any R&D work was done at HQ. I have no idea what goes on at Castrol HQ. But I know a lot about what goes on at BP HQ.

Just had my 18,000 mile service and the dealer put in Castrol Power 1 Racing 5W40.

Castrol Power 1 Racing 5W40............... now to be known as liquid gold.
