fender rear wheel cap thingy removal?

Whats the bumper rear wheel black thingy called on the back of GSA ? anyway i was considereing taking it off but there are a couple of nuts that go into the drive shaft thingy? ( tecnical language) What do i do with the holes? is there a filler plate or some thing?

dump it does nowt,bolts go to brake caliper braket and hub,they do nowt either,can be cut down and stuck back in to fill the holes if you like

Touratech do a neat little filler kit which tidies up the back end once you remove the crud catcher.
