Ferry fortnight promotions have started for the next fortnight. 20% off DFDS sailings out of Newcastle - see icon on the bottom right of their website.

Dates available from now right through the year. Generally no discounts on the Fri or Sat sailings (but you wouldn't want to sail with load of boozed up Stags & Hens would you :rob ) Will be booking for later in the year :D

Presume other ferry operators are also participating which may mean better prices again if you are prepared to travel further south for a boat.

Haven't gone and looked yet (plus booked tunnel after 11 years of DFDS...) but last year at first the discount was only on the outward leg.
However, one of our parishioners convinced them and last year the website was changed to discounted fares on both legs.
Last year I kept checking the prices of July out and mid August return for two plus bike. When the amended website went on I saved about 36% on the previous calculation.
Book now if it's discounted both ways!

Anyone looking to travel Newcastle to Ijmuiden on 1 or 2 July? I'm heading over and am happy to share a cabin which is currently showing at £145 for two.

Deals?

Didn't see any deals to do with "Ferry Fortnight" that were any help to GS-ers going away for 2-3 weeks:confused: - or have I missed something:rob

Did, however, manage to get a return crossing in June for bike + two of us in a 2-berth cabin for £259 by picking cheapest days (mid-week) and using the MCN 10% discount -not bad for June - we're £299 for the same crossing in April even with the 10% off.
Roll on Summer:thumb

Cheers...................Grizzly:beerjug:

I checked out the website after waiting months for the ferry fortnight deals to come round. Two bikes one twin cabin inc meals leaving Newcastle 4 July return 10 July £605 discount nada. Phoned direct the girl says those dates are not included but if I left on the 3rd I could get a £60 discount (and pay for an extra night b&b) so it seems full price for me !
