Steve wasn't happy with the stick he was getting about his Springer built Triumph, he brought his pulicist along, the one and only Max Clifford

damage report, 700 miles:

slow puncture. went down on last night in spain. went down overnight on the ferry. stays up fine now in my garage. must have healed up :eek

1 warped front disc. only lasted 35 years, just isn't good enough.

suspected sticky breather box valve that caused a small drip feed of oil onto the rear tyre. see above.

otherwise didn't miss a beat (and only a couple of gears)

not nearly as uncomfortable as i'd feared. i was a bit stiff after the first day, but otherwise fine. hard work to ride compared to my GSA, but very rewarding.

great company and lovely accommodation at la pisa with top catering. shame we drank them out of the best wine, but we coped.

would have liked to do the rally proper, but won't be doing it unless they move it back to colombre. happy with our decision not to swap digs to santander.

Looks like you have a great time, I love that part of the world.......and some of the locals:augie
