What a hoot!! :D

Having at first been puzzled at how to fit this replacement horn and eventually giving up on squeezing it in the original position I started to look at alternative positions on the frame.

To keep it brief it sits perfectly on the RHS between the air intake tube and the bottom of the fuel tank. There is a fixing bolt at the rear of the tank and the bracket supplied with the horn fitsunder the bolt head against the plastic. I added a star washer for peace of mind and use thread lock on the horn nut. Wiring was easy with the CanBus kit from Nippy's. I'm sorry I buttoned everything up and then realised I intended to take a photo for the forum. The bracket will need a 30° ish bend to fit snugly in the gap - really easy in reality.

I hope that helps......

Can do, won't be this week tho.

take off the RHS fuel tank cover and it will be immediately obvious where I mean. A really simple fix

I've got a pair of regular Fiamms which fit under the beak easy-as and they are very loud.

I can't imagine that the mini-blaster is much louder to be honest and they were an easy fit.

Hi mate,
sorry if this reply is a month after you posted but it may help others.
I searched for a good quality horn but noticed quite a few bad reviews. The one that seemed to come out tops was the Denali Soundbomb.
I purchased one off Ebay advertised to fit the R1200GS so expected all fittings such as brackets to be included.
I had to buy the wiring kit separately.
The problem is that it didn't come with a fixing bracket so it's virtually impossible to fit.
Found out afterwards that fixing brackets have to be bought separately. Try getting one, they are like rocking horse shit.

I found the same place to put it, under fuel tank on the right hand side next to the air intake.
I fabricated a bracket but then noticed that the instructions said that the horn must be virtually upright whereas in this place it would be laid on it's side, so that was that idea up the spout.
I've emailed the supplier to see if they can supply one or I'll have to return it.

If I do send it back then I'll be going for the Stebel Nautilus which comes supplied with bespoke fixing bracket and wiring kit. Wish I'd noticed this earlier but I'd seen some poor reviews a year or so back.
See; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QtuZXX--C4 and http://www.motorradzubehoer-hornig.de/BMW-R-1200-GS-Adv-und-HP2/Alu-Edelstahl/Nautilus-Hupe.html

Hope I didn't bore you too much

Just found a bike specific bracket for the Denali Soundbomb and it appears to be mounted just behind the left cylinder.
Look cack to me and then it's for the LC model.
Looks like its going back to the shop and I'll try a Stebel Nautilus with a bracket to put it between the folks.
