70,000kms, first failure at 45k, second at 62k and now the third yesterday. All redone at dealer but installed by me with 180ml oil each time. First was bearing issue, second was outer seal, this time its inner seal. When is enough?

First at 24K

- it was still working but lots of side to side play - i got Mikeyboy to run his magic mitts over it :)

A leaking seal isn't a final drive failure.. it's just a leaking seal..

55k miles so far and all is well. I change the oil every year and put in 280 mls. Used to be 240mls before they changed it to 180. My final drive has a breather so no issue with pressure problems making it leak. Next change I will be putting in 300mls.

Fuck it, why be a cheapskate, put the whole litre in and be done man! ;)

Only 60,000 on mine. Never changed the oil yet, and don't intend to.
I stick firmly to the orginal service schedule. Sealed for life.

Nope your quite right but if not found in time could lead to a FD failure if you're on a long ride between fill ups.
