At approaching 5000 miles my gs is due a service february,, I dropped the oil prior to the first service and it was dark as some have mentioned ,
i refilled with a castrol oil and this time its gone a slightly darker green with no silver residue or particles, i use the fill plug behind the disc,
So all good, my reason was i got a used 14 my gs and it was very noisy from the FD, dropping the oil 200 miles after they said it was changed at 6000 miles it was black with a silver streak in the oil and metal fragments in the oil and the drain plug looked like a bog brush with the amount of metal on it, i got the its not an issue they all do it from the dealer and rejected the bike and got this one new last year, it is quiet apart from tyres ,
so just being curious and good to know this one is as expected, with clean oil as my previous gsa s had been,
