Not come across this one before and have been searching for an answer on here but nothing found as yet.....

I went out on a ride today down to Mudiford with some guys from work and soon noticed a creaking sound coming from what I thought was the suspension. I fitted an Ohlins unit recently and thought that might have something to do with it but was not overly concerned.....

After 210 miles I returned home and thought I'd check the source of the greaking noise. I soon realised it had nothing to do with the suspension and everything to do with the final drive unit/shaft. The shaft housing was quite hot to the touch and when i bounced the bike up and down i could "feel" the creaking coming from within the shaft housing....

Any ideas on ease to rectify, cost, time etc....

All info much appreciated:thumb
