final drive vent seepage

hi folks ,could someone please through some light on this please,in my final drive i have the recomended 230ml of hypoid ,also the sponge insert is in too with the oil seal and plastic cap ,and yet i am still getting oil leaking out of the vent on the final drive ,and help please

yip i did ,230ml takes it to just below the threads

Okay Some one has to ask What oil have you in there ?

Is it Really thin Fully synth Poop?

Is it GL5 spec??

Okay Its got Me Should be spot on the money with that I was wondering maybe if you had GL4 which is known to "Foam"

Possibly drain and change to a straight 90 GL5 semi synth or Mineral??

Did symptoms only develop or gradually have been getting worse?

aye its got me too,its after say fifty miles or so ,it starts trickleing down towards the speedo sensor ,i will change the seal, cap and the foam insert and see if it does anything
