Well, they do say that if a job's worth doing, then it's worth doing properly. But at one and a half years, I think I'd better stick to my day job in terms of making money!

Here's Old Bess. From a gearbox failure in August 1996, she's been stripped, fettled, and is now finally back together ...

Can't wait to get her back on the road :bounce1

Looks a lot more nicerful:augie than mine does:thumb
Mine has'nt turned a wheel for 12 years:(
O no i lie, i pushed it into the shed from the garage last June, i
will make a start on her this spring:D

Slight correction: gearbox failure was in 2006, not 1996:blast

ianboydsnr: many thanks indeed:thumb2 She's been apart for so long I'd forgotten how good she looks with her painted bits and seat back on. When up close and personal there are a few scratches etc, but that's just part of being 34 years old!

bustupbiker: 12 years:eek: Is there anything that needs fixing first, or is it just lack of time ...? Get her back on the road where she deserves to be. If it's the time thing then I know exactly what you mean, work has a tendency to get in the way for me. That and a lack of skill:augie But, with help from this site, the R90S Yahoo Group and, last but by no means least, help and advice from the guys and girls at Southport Superbikes (Jim, Becky, Ste and Steve and, in the workshop, Andy, Phil and Johnny), I've learnt a heck of a lot working on the old girl. Just shout if you need some help, happy to pop down to help spanner for the day (all for the price of a brew).
