As long as the gps has a decent refresh rate it will no doubt be 99% accurate but what does it do when the gps signal is lost ie in tunnels or in built up areas where the satellite signal can be blocked by skyscrapers etc
The speedo is very shallow. You end up with a shelf underneath it where the old speedo sat. I've coiled mine up on that.
Dunno yet! We haven't got any skyscrapers or tunnels in the East Midlands so it may take some time to find out.
It uses the same GPS receiver as the quadcopters use. Refreshes 10 times a second. There's a hot start option that maintains the GPS receiver so you aren't waiting for a satellite lock before you start off.
I've only done 12 miles with. I've no idea if there are any downsides to it.
There are a few nice features. O-60 timer, 1/4 mile timer and a compass. I'm just glad of a stable speedo and a rev meter
Well done, I've done 400 with mine and very pleased, not lost the signal yet!
Most of the Hipster bikes that end up with me after being fecked about with by fashionistas that haven't a fecking clue usually have some type of GPS speedo fitted.

Looks good Rob. Between you and Arkwright, I'm being firmly pushed in that direction. At the moment I have to use the GPS on my iPhone to give me accurate speed as the original speedo is useless above 45mph.
Oddly, it's dead accurate at 30 and 40!

It's a 4" unit
As Arkwright says for the connection. I was expecting to faff about trying to get a good signal from the ignition but it fired straight up and is rock steady.

How do you tell the unit it is monitoring a 2 cylinder 4 stroke with a wasted spark?

Because it can be used on multiple applications you can programme it for 'the number of sparks per rev' which in our case is 'one'!

You can now get the CNC fired up and make a four banger DI 2 stroke.
