I am a happy bunny.....
Today, my R80ST passed the MoT... so she is finally back on the road.
I bought her approx August last year, after she had sat unloved and neglected for about 4 years (last tax expired 2010)
She had a RT fairing (sacrilidge IMHO on a ST) and ALL the metalwork was rusty/furred etc.
But she did have a full stainless exhaust system, and all the bits were there.....and she was cheap.
So, taking full use of the internet, I used this place, and our yankee cousins on AdvRider to absorb as much knowledge as possible, and started a refurb (not a full concors restoration, as I would be too scared to use it if it was too shiny)
Thanks to ebay, the vendors on this place, Motorworks/Motobins etc, I have managed to get all the bits to bring her back to life. ....... and today she got the MoT certificate to start her new life. She does look good IMHO, and rides fine...seems small after my 1150GSA !
Big THANKS to Chris (TunnerUK on here) at CT Services for the paintwork....... ace job, and a good guy!
Ride safe y'all
