I give up!

Anyone know how to find the coordiantes of a Favourite (or waypoint) froma 660 without hooking it up to a PC?

Greg

If there's an "Edit waypoint" option you might well find the co-ords listed if you select that option Greg. That's the case with my 2720 anyway.

i notice in the Favourites it appears to give the co-ordinates, but only if the waypoint is not named. so if it's auto named 001 it does if you've called it Pie Shop, it doesn't.

maybe if you can rename the waypoint to a number the co-ords will appear???

Awful but:

Where To-Favourites-Select Favourite-Map-Set Location
Back-back-back-back-Tools-Where Am I?

There is & I'm sure it's I'm the forum somewhere. Failing that, I'll have a look when I get home, cos I did it recently.......... But I'm buggered if I can remember how - its obviously not that intuitive :blast

Or try this

To retrieve coordinates from stored waypoints/favourites, you have to :

- turn off the gps receiver : System -> GPS Mode = GPS Off
- choose the waypoint/favourite you want to check and select it
- then do : Map -> Set Loc. ->back -> back -> back -> Down arrow" -> Coordinates

=> The coordinates of your waypoint/favourite are displayed

The turning the receiver off bit rings an annoying bell

Same as above by the sound of it.....

I'm on software version 4.50. There's no option that I can find to turn the GPS off.

Is it like the old Zumos where starting it up inside popped up the "Trouble tracking satellites, are you indoors?" message which, if you answered 'Yes' turns off the receiver :nenau

When I started this thread, I also shot off an e-mail to Garmin. Their reply has just arrived:

"Unfortunately this functionality isn't supported by the zumo 660."

Should I tell them?

Greg
