Did you clear wrap the tank before putting that tank pad on first or just chuck the pad on? I just bought the same tank pad after seeing that pic but haven't stuck it on yet. Thinking of getting the tank done in clear first but not sure if it's worth it. Advice welcome.

I have the same one on my bike, and didn't wrap the tank first. In reality, you'd have to try pretty hard to rub the tank, unless you've got a MASSIVE belly!
Hmm, might give it a miss then. Waiting until the weather is a bit warmer to put the tank pad on as it's quite expensive and I don't want the cold weather to stop it sticking properly. Garage isn't heated.
