Re thread started about the new Hein Gericke Glasgow shop.

Popped in on the fresh clean unit, just off junction 11 on the M8 a few weeks ago to look for gear for this year's tour in Spain and France.

Good selection of quality gear and great to try on and get the right size.
Wanted a specific colour scheme. This was ordered up and in the shop four days later.

Prices as per mail order with a small discount for buying in the shop - he said it saves them the cost of postage so they pass on these savings to the customer.

Very pleasant and very helpful couple.

Good to support our local chaps (including Hein Gericke on Dumbarton Road) and not the mail order giants.
Remember what happened to Forth Gear at South Queensferry!

Ok, I might have made that up.
Glad to see folks are supporting local stores though , whether they are independents or larger chains. Buying online is rather haphazard and soul less.

My son and I have both bought from Firecrest, good people to deal with and a good selection of kit.

In contrast we both thought that HG stock was a bit low rent, especially the helmets that I'd best describe as entry level.

Just getting the helmet range sorted at HG.
Have some Arai and hoping to get Shoei and Shark in as soon as our German cousins get things sorted out.
