Firefox, chrome or IE?

I currently use firefox and it works fine and also updates all my favourites to my iphone which is handy.

But, I keep getting bombarded by 'advice' to move to chrome or IE.

Am I better off keeping firefox (works well enough for me) or would either of the other two work better and/or faster? I'd like to keep the favourites updates on my phone.

They are all free and can work in parallel, so why not try them?

You can install all three, and they will all work fine.

I prefer Chrome.

I use Chrome but go back to Firefox for Youtube downloads which Chrome seems to block.

As others have said, try and see what works for you.

There are some concerns from some people about privacy with Chrome but make your own mind up. I don't use it but mainly because I don't like it much.

IE to be honest is a bit dated and doesn't support HTML5 so lots of features just aren't available in it. Something I'd be moving away from not moving toward from Firefox.

I also like Opera and Safari if you really want to try the range

Chrome on the lappy...switched from firefox as it was becoming a pita

Was using IE for years, switched to Chrome and now with Firefox. They all work well and having all 3 on you're computer will not affect their operation. However with IE you will get a lot more unwanted cookie type junk downloaded to your computer, chrome is a bit better but Firefox is the best for keeping your computer clear of junk but ofcourse it all depends on security settings. Bottom line - use whatever one suits you best.

Erm, I just go through YouTube and click play or copy the code when I want to embed. Think I misunderstood you, are you talking about actually downloading files to store on your hard drive? If so, sorry I haven't a clue how to even do that.

OK, thanks... yes I want to download. If you want to downlaod there are add-ons that you can add to your browser that puts a button on the Youtube play menu. All works fine with Firefox but with Chrome it's a problem. Probably because Google own Youtube.

I have used all those mentioned, but my favourite (at present) is Safari, prior to that Firefox, Opera, IE, Chrome, IE

They change fairly regularly but I'm now on a MAC and they come with Safari, but I have used Firefox on MACs too.

Watched an online footy match today on both - firefox ran well, chrome kept cutting out
