firefox not playing vids??

on the links that get put up from time to time - i used to be able to watch them in firefox - no worries.

they won't play anymore

any settings i can check - is it pop-up blockers ?

don't remember changing anything

happens to me too.. i'm using maxthon most of the time now and firefox for stumblin'

I had exactly the same issue with embedded video ETC.

Have a look at this article http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=206213

I followed the instructions and all video works fine now.

Oddly enough I had that problem for ages but now it works

Try checking everything's the latest version....flash, quicktime, java, all the usual suspects.

Alternatively, try opening Tools/Page Info. Go to the Media tab and scroll down to show the URL of the file (it will have "embedded" next to it). Copy the URL into a download manager and save it to your hard disk. Works for most files.
