Firefox & Orange e mail

Ever since I changed to Firefox, I have not been able to send attachments such as photos. I click on "attachments", this brings up the "browse" window, I click on this sort out the image I want.
But when it gets to the download stage, it trys but it doesn't work. The bar on the botton right flickers from nothing to full up & down, up & down. All the while at the bottom left of the screen, the orange website is flickering away like mad.

What's going on, how do I remedy the problem.

Not with you on the Firefox bit; Firefox is a browser, not an email client. Sure you don't mean 'Thunderbird'? That's what I use, and I've never had any problems with attachments. But I'm with BT, not sure just how different ISP's might effect this.
