This is for work, we run a small business which is predominantly admin based, although we sell and service equipment. We have seven employees and run about twenty e mail addresses and I am concerned about the amount of time & money wasted by staff not being able to perform simple tasks.
I don't think my expectations are too high but I think we need to have a combined system that gives
e-mail - similar in function to Outlook, where the user can quickly send e mails to individuals or numerous people and groups, attach multiple types of attachment. It uses the company address book.
An address book that is linked to the e mail and work iPhones and is maintained by someone in the office, with iPhone users having a separate address book.
A calendar that is linked to the office and work iPhones
I will be happy to move away from Outlook, which has caused us massive issues and consider other software, but it needs to fulfil the above criteria and be simple to use or at least be self intuitive so we avoid another steep learning curve/frustration and more wasted time/money.
I understand Thunderbird is open source, but does that mean it is limited on functionality and reliability ?
Should we consider Postbox or something completely different ?
Any sensible suggestions greatly appreciated.
