When I try to download video from putfiles.com it tells me to install plugins so I try but get 'no suitable plugins available'.I can install manually from the firefox site or microsoft but how do I know what plugins I need? :nenau
Thanks,
Tony

The only plugins I downloaded where Media player connectivity 0.5.3.1 and Foxy tunes (you don't need Foxy tunes ... it just puts the player controls in oyur browser window ... very handy) ... you should only need the correct program installed elsewhere if you have the Media player connectivity plugin ... erm ... I think so anyway ... its all I have installed and I don't have a problem playing anything...

If you are just short of codecs then try http://www.xpcodecpack.com/ and download the codec pack ... if you then use the options in the media connectivity plugin to point to media player classic it will play any damn thing you throw at it...

Have fun...

EDIT: you probably only need a Divx codec ... http://www.divx.com/ do the other stuff as well ... media player classic will play Divx once you stick the codec pack on...

Thanks for the advice,Ithink my problem lies in the fact that I'm running Win 98.However ,its now seems OK in IE if not Firefox so I can use that as necessary. :thumb
Thanks again,Tony
