Sybasian, and a level of Integration/capability that KTM , Triumph , Ducati , MotoGuzzi , Honda and the rest couldn't even begin to dream about . They are 3 maybe 4years behind BMW.

That'll be why the new KTM 1290 Super Adventures have an integrated 6" TFT colour dash !

Not really integrated , you have to jab it with a pointed finger to operate it !


I purchased a KTM 1290 SA last year, they couldn't even ship it! After (unhappy) wrangling, they returned my money !
They (KTM) are admittedly far more exciting brand than BMW and their engines are in a different league, but the whole package (including the dealers /back up ) still far from professional imho.....

I'm thrilled with my GS. I'd purchase a bike from another vendor in a heartbeat (I have zero loyalty to BM) But , at the moment there is nothing to match it.

I wonder want else will be integrated in the new VI when compared to V.
 
Rallye version comes with rad guards, so hopefully that will dispel fears that fitting such and item will invalidate your warranty! :blast
 
That. I have no desire whatsover to own a newer GS/GSA, the vulger bloated pig is now a caricature of the great bikes that preceeded it, and the whole off the peg dealer/aftermarket supplied adventure thing is now just a ridiculous joke. Cant wait for the bubble to burst and some sanity to return.

Some people struggle with change once they reach a certain age ;)

I see your point ( takes me a while, when jet-lagged! ) ... I agree 100%

They should have called it the R9T Costa as that's where most of the urban heroes riding one will spend most their time !!

Just because a majority of Gs riders old (er) it doesn't mean that bike is targeted at old folks. I am 6'3" and in no way will I ever go on a heap of shit panigalle because ill never recover from that fOOked
up riding position. I done my training and taken a test on Kwak Er6-N and I hated it from the firs straddle. I thought I'll need both hips replacing when I am finished with it. I chose GS because I like the raw and unlike anything else look of the bike, upright seating position with plenty of room for (my 35" inseam) legs and ability to fOOk off for a weeks jaunt around Alps, come back and go to work the very next morning without going to see doc.
