First Aid For Riders

Just looked and I havent posted on here for over a year but have been lurking.

Trying to get bodies to make up a full course attendance for First Aid For Riders next Saturday 7th July.

All in all the basis of this training kicked all our folks into action

My Sis Tania did the casualty management / head immobilisation bit and my girlfriend Maxine of Hein Gericke Newry (Fame) worked in conjunction with Tania and they did their best to keep Scully concious and they continued to help even when the paramedics arrived

The Course gave us the basic rules and I can;t recommend it enough

So please if anyone has the time Get on it and be a proper on the scene paramedic / crash site organiser in order to Treat/stabilise the casualty and sort getting the ambulance thru the melee and to the casualty in the shortest possible time

Scully got home the next day battered and bruised but basically a Ballymena man landing heavily on his wallet is gonna suffer some pain!!

I missed the question Till I went back and checked for the links

I must sit down and do you a full report and maybe that can form a checklist of what happened and how we could have improved

I have some photos here if you want bigger ones for the page

Feel free and any questions Please ask! As I really do feel every club or group should have at least one of their riders thru this course

P.s. We've met by the way, at the statistics meeting with the Top Plods and Road safety I was up with Monty from the Vipers and JimmyC off here's son Seamus did the statistics presentation

Not a problem but was trying to be a bit diplomatic and cautious in the public domain

A full report would be good.

At least one rider, as at one of the courses somebody had done a similar course and was made the dedicated First Aider on a ride out to...........Scotland unfortunately he was the one that came off and carted off in the ambulance.

Yes I remember meeting there and maybe a nod or two at a couple of other events.

Yes Indeed "One" is not of a stature that one can hide behind a rake
